Ice Cube Machine ZBJ-100L Iberna

The OEM Sheffield ZBJ-100L is a water-spray ice cube machine for bars, hotels, restaurants and butchery counters. It makes clear cube ice on demand, which is what a bar needs: cubes that melt slowly in a glass rather than the soft flake ice used for display.

The water-spray system is what gives the cube its clarity: water is sprayed upward into inverted moulds so it freezes in layers and impurities are washed away rather than trapped, which is why spray-made cubes come out clear where a simple tray freezes them cloudy. Each cube weighs 10 to 12 g.

Output figures are quoted at 21 °C ambient with 15 °C incoming water; in a hotter room or on warmer mains the machine will make less, which is worth allowing for in Kenya. Overload protection and automatic water-shortage detection shut it down rather than let it run dry. It measures 677 × 585 × 895 mm on a 220-240 V supply.
