Immersion Blender Tube 300 Mm

This is the 300 mm blending shaft for a hand-held immersion blender. The tube carries the blade at its tip and the drive from the motor unit, and its length is what sets how deep a pot the blender can be worked in.

Three hundred millimetres suits stockpots and bain-marie inserts up to about that depth. Pushing a blender deeper than its shaft allows brings the motor housing close to the liquid, which is the most common way these machines are ruined.

The tube is stainless steel and weighs around a kilogram. It detaches from the motor unit, so it can be washed on its own and swapped for a different length when the job changes.
