Waffle Maker Single WB-1

The HK-Redline WB-1 is a single-plate commercial waffle maker for cafes, hotel breakfast service, bakeries and dessert counters. One round plate of 170 mm turns out Belgian-style waffles up to 2.3 cm thick, at around 20 an hour.

The plates are cast aluminium with a Teflon coating, which is what lets a waffle release cleanly without the batter tearing, and there are stainless steel heating elements in both the top and bottom plate so the waffle browns evenly on each face rather than only where it rests. Temperature is adjustable from 50 to 270 °C.

A five-minute mechanical timer with a bell means the operator does not have to watch the machine, which matters when the same person is running a breakfast counter. It draws 1000 W from a 220-240 V socket, weighs 7 kg and occupies 250 × 380 × 300 mm of bench.
